Position | Procurement Manager
About the role
Kate Bendewald Interior Design (KBID), a Denver residential design studio, is hiring a part-time Procurement Manager to own every order from purchase to installation day. The role is mostly remote, with occasional in-person sessions in Denver.
What you'll do
Ordering: place and verify orders with vendors and workrooms; process payments and reconcile invoices
Quality control: check acknowledgments and samples against specs; confirm items arrive correct and undamaged
Tracking: keep our Airtable tracker current and follow up on lead times and delays
Claims: file and resolve claims for damaged or incorrect items
Logistics: coordinate warehouses, freight, and delivery and install schedules with clients and trades
What you bring
No design-industry experience required — we'll train the right person. Personality and culture fit matter more to us than a long résumé.

Position Details:
Hours: part-time, ~20 hours per week, with some flexibility around project needs
Location: Denver - This role is hybrid with the majority of your time remote and occasional in-person working sessions
Availability: Reachable during business hours (Mountain Time) for vendor and delivery coordination
Pay: $30-$50 per hour, based on experience

Position | Interior Design Associate
About the role
We're hiring a full-time Residential Interior Designer with at least 2 years of professional experience. You'll work directly with the Principal Designer and Lead Designer to manage residential projects (new builds, remodels and full furnishing) from concept through installation. This role suits a designer who balances creativity with technical rigor and is ready to own more of each project.
We're a small studio, and everyone on the team is a bit of a Swiss Army knife. We're looking for someone curious, growth-minded and can-do, who sees no task as too small.
What you'll do
Design development
Develop concepts, mood boards, floor plans, elevations and furniture layouts
Develop 3D renderings to communicate design intent
Select and prepare detailed specifications and schedules for finishes, lighting, plumbing and furnishings, plus custom millwork and window treatments
Prepare client presentations
Produce drawings and construction documents for contractors and trades
Project management
Manage multiple residential projects at once, tracking timelines, budgets and next steps
Coordinate with architects, contractors, builders, workrooms and installers
Attend site visits, measure spaces and check work in progress against the design
Help plan and lead installation and styling days
Procurement and client service
Prepare requests for vendor quotes, then track and manage them
Track orders, deliveries, backorders and damages, and resolve issues quickly
Keep clients informed with clear, timely communication
Maintain organized project files, drawings and specifications
Required qualifications
2+ years of professional experience as an interior designer
Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro or similar software, plus Adobe Creative Suite or Canva for presentations
Working knowledge of residential construction, finishes, materials and furniture sourcing
Strong technical skills and a sharp eye for detail
Strong organization, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once
Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients and trades
A portfolio showing completed or in-progress residential work
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and installs
Nice to have
Experience with design business software such as Studio Designer, DesignFiles or Houzz Pro
NCIDQ certification, or progress toward it
Comfort using AI tools to speed up design and admin work
Position Details:
Hours: Full-time; Flexible schedule but generally available during work hours.
Location: Denver - This role is hybrid, with the majority of your time in the studio. We are located in South Denver.
Pay: $50,000 – $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Employment type: 1099 contract position to start, transitioning to employee status as you demonstrate value, build relationships, and show long-term potential

We’re looking for a full-time Project Manager who brings three things above all: sharp attention to detail, a hospitality-first approach, and a solutions-oriented mindset. You’ll own our projects from start to finish, keeping timelines, clients, and details on track so our creative team can focus on design.
What you'll do
Own the studio calendar and project schedules, keeping every timeline moving
Serve as a warm, confident and proactive point of contact for clients
Look ahead, spot problems early and come to the team with options
Oversee procurement and coordinate with trades, vendors and our design team
Oversee new client intake process, including reviewing and pre-qualifying projects.
Required qualifications
2+ years of professional experience as a project manager; ideally in the design and construction industry
Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in managing spreadsheets
Strong technical skills and a sharp eye for detail
Strong organization, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and installs
Proficiency with AI tools, workflows, and integrations
Nice to have
Interior design or residential construction experience
